Mr Matthew Vinyl started Djing in 1991, Influenced by Sasha. (particulary one night in Newport with Sasha changed my life forever)

After lots of grafting, experience, luck, record shopping, lots of late nights, the traditional pub starter gigs and a few dodgy raves on Dartmoor Mr Vinyl finally got his break and started a 9yr ongoing residency @ Bohemia (Formally Claires), Torquay.

As well as his Bohemia gigs Mr Vinyl secured and held down residencies @ Dance Academy, The Monastery, Sound Factory & Monroes, Regulary holding his own against the biggest names in Dance music - DJs like John Kelly, Scott Bond, Pete Wardman, Alex Gold, BK, Brandon Block, Lisa Pin-Up, Scot Project, Tall Paul, Steve Thomas, DJ Heaven, Jon the Dentist, Yomanda, Scorpio, M-Zone, Mark EG .....and many more. With his musical knowledge and technical ability incorporating everything from funky house, prog, tech trance, uplifting trance & techno. or time it right and you can witness Mr V rocking thousands at annual festival Air Fusion July 21st, 22nd, 23rd 2006

From playing out @ all the local Devon & Cornwall Clubs, learning the piano and guitar, qualifying as a sound engineer and music technology teacher (worked with Muse, S club 7's Jon Lee, Sonys Helen Sheppard & Tom Ingoldsby Composer of the Year '98) Mr Vinyl then tried his hand at Radio, which was to go extremely well! From meeting with GWR radio through Air Fusion Festival Matt now found himself mixing it up on GWR's Gemini FM for the next 2 years every Saturday Evening to over 250,000 audience.

From leaving GWR Matt took time out to travel the world for the next 6 months covering U.S.A. , Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, and finally ending up with a DJ Tour of Asia and the finale @ Koh Phang Yan Full Moon Party NYE 2003.

Currently Matt is back in the UK & still 'havin it!' @ Claires Nightclub Torquay (NO.1 Club night in the UK Blues & Soul Mag) | You can also catch Matt on the airwaves at the end of every month if you live in The Netherlands, Guest DJ Dance Cafe Sat 8pm-10pm - Vestingstad FM 107.1FM, Gorinchem, Netherlands | TV/Film work currently supporting actor in King Arthur, Blackball & Pocahontas The Movie + regular apperances in Casualty and Down To Earth. Matt is also now writing music reviews for 4kicks Mag www.4kicks.net & Swedish Digital Magazine www.pitchadjust.com and back working @ Coombeshead Studios (Studio Manager & Radio Station Manager.
